Overview

The MP-1 device is an element of the remote monitoring system via Ethernet (SNMP v2c/v3) of equipment and objects (data centers, process equipment, autonomous stations, industrial premises).

The MP-1 expansion module supports up to 12 universal digital inputs (with status monitoring and power switching), which can operate in the fire loop protection mode or dry contacts.

It is possible to connect sensors and detectors for monitoring standard fire alarms (smoke, motion, glass break, window/door opening sensors).

The MP-1 expansion module can be used in two versions: as a standalone device (Ethernet 10/100 Mbits) and as a module for expanding the functionality of the TTA-08 device (CAN bus).

Using the MP-1 expansion modules allows the TTA-08 device to increase the number of input interfaces within the monitored premises to 130.

SNMP protocol

Support of SNMP v2/v3 protocol allows integrating the device into a standard network management and control system. The device can generate SNMP trap for all events.

Control and monitoring system based on the SNMP protocol

To control several monitoring units at a time TTA Monitor application can be used.

The application designed to communicate with devices can use either SNMP or internal communication protocol. TTA Monitor can operate under Windows or Linux operating systems.

SNMP-based control and monitoring system

For simultaneous control of several monitoring devices, you can use an additional solution – the TTA Monitor application.

The application for communication with devices uses either the SNMP protocol or an internal communication protocol. The TTA Monitor program can run under Windows and Linux operating systems.

Functionally, the TTA-08 device provides collection, analysis and control of data received from all connected expansion modules.

The CAN bus is a serial bus with two differential signals CAN-H and CAN-L, to which monitoring devices are connected in parallel.
The TTA-08 device and MP expansion modules represent an integral device of the monitoring system with one IP address and a common Web interface.
This solution allows you to monitor up to 140 condition monitoring points.
The advantage of the solution to build an infrastructure monitoring network based on TTA-08 devices with CAN bus support is the ability to place MP expansion modules at a considerable distance from the main controller. In this case, MP expansion modules can be placed in close proximity to the condition monitoring elements.
The maximum length of the CAN bus can reach 250 meters.

Expansion modules

The main task of expansion modules is to increase the number of loops and control points of the base module within one control domain.

The structural diagram of the application of the extension module in the infrastructure monitoring system is presented above.

Unlike the basic module of the TTA-08 remote monitoring and control system for sensors, the expansion modules perform only the functions of collecting and transmitting telemetry.
Having received a value from any sensor, the expansion module transmits the data to its domain controller (the basic module), which in turn performs further processing and management of the received data in accordance with the algorithms of the program logic.

SNMP Protocol

Support for SNMP v2c/v3 protocol allows integrating the device into a standard network management and control system. The device can generate SNMP trap for all events.

SNMP based management and monitoring system

For simultaneous control of TTA-08 infrastructure monitoring devices, it is possible to use an additional solution from Terratel – the client-server application “TTA Monitor”.

Specialized NMS/EMS TTA Monitor software is a network SNMP system for monitoring digital device parameters that allows monitoring and promptly informing the user about the key operating parameters of TTA-08 digital devices, as well as informing about the occurrence of emergency and abnormal events.

The TTA Monitor software has a client-server architecture and is capable of providing network monitoring of up to 500 digital devices (network elements) of TTA-08.

The application for communication with devices uses either the SNMP protocol or an internal communication protocol. The TTA Monitor program can run under Windows and Linux operating systems.

Sensors of environmental conditions, security, fire loop and the state of digital devices as part of the SNMP system of remote monitoring

Sensors and detectors are part of the SNMP remote monitoring and control system consisting of TTA-08 controllers and EMS/NMS TTA Monitor. Sensors and detectors provide conversion of environmental parameters or various physical states into electrical signals. These signals are processed by the SNMP controller of the TTA-08 Ethernet network remote monitoring system.

The TTA-08-GSM device version supports the ability to remotely monitor the states of sensors and detectors in the GSM network.

Below are brief descriptions of sensors and detectors that we recommend for use with the TTA-08 device.

1-Wire temperature sensor based on DS18B20

The digital thermometer based on the DS18B20 in a protected housing (metal sleeve) is the most affordable sensor and provides temperature measurements in °C.

The DS18B20 digital temperature sensor communicates via a 1-Wire bus, requiring only one data line (and ground) to communicate with the CPU TTA-08. Additionally, the DS18B20 can be powered directly from the data line (parasitic power), eliminating the need for an external power supply.

Each thermometer DS18B20 has a unique 64-bit serial code, allowing multiple DS18B20s to operate on the same 1-Wire bus.

The sensor can be used to monitor ambient temperature, temperature monitoring systems inside buildings and equipment, monitoring and process control systems.

The temperature sensor is supplied with a two meter long cable for direct connection to the screw terminals of the TTA-08 controller.

Digital humidity and temperature sensor based on DHT22

The DHT22 (AM2302) Digital Output Relative Humidity Temperature Sensor outputs a calibrated digital signal. The sensor uses exclusive digital signal acquisition technology and humidity detection technology to ensure reliability and stability. Each sensor of this model has temperature compensation and a calibration coefficient stored in memory.

Small size, low power consumption and long transmission distance (20m) allow the DHT22 to be used in any harsh application environment.

The DHT22 relative humidity and temperature sensor has a compact housing with four contacts, which makes connection convenient.

Overview

The 220V voltage sensor is a specialized device for monitoring the state of a household electrical network. The sensor is designed to work as part of a device for monitoring the status of loops and sensors TTA-08.

This 220V mains voltage presence sensor is a simple and reliable high quality device developed by Terratel specialists. The 220V voltage sensor allows you to monitor in real time its presence at the corresponding input or output. The 220V sensor has a wide range of permissible voltage, which allows you to monitor the power supply in any region – both in urban and rural areas.

The 220V voltage sensor allows you to promptly notify of a malfunction, and in industrial use at factories and enterprises – to avoid the consequences of possible emergency situations. The 220V voltage presence sensor is distinguished by its stable operation and ease of installation.

Connection diagram and technical characteristics

The sensor for the presence of a 220V network is implemented in the form of a printed circuit board on a PCB of excellent quality with a high-quality terminal block, using a modern element base and has a simple circuit diagram.

This solution makes it durable and provides the ability to quickly respond to AC power failure events.

This model of the sensor has the following technical characteristics: the limits of the operating voltage – from 100 Volts to 265 Volts, significantly expanding the possible places of its application.
