RS232 or RS485 to Ethernet converter supports local and remote system firmware update.
Infrastructure and environmental monitoring
The device supports several network protocols, including TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP and SNMP. In addition to transparently converting RS232/RS485 interfaces to Ethernet, the device can also perform access control, environmental parameters and infrastructure monitoring.
The built-in Web interface is used for setup and configuration, which provides the user with ease and convenience of operation.
Hardware
The device is designed in a case made of anodized aluminum alloy with protection level IP40. The system controller module has a fanless design with low power consumption.
Serial Interface Signals
RS-485: 2 wires: A(TX+), B(TX-), GND
RS-232: RXD, TXD, GND
Mounting or installation method
The device supports 1 channel RS-232 or RS-485 to 1 channel Ethernet 10/100 Mbps and can be installed using a 19 bracket in a telecommunications rack, on a table or placed using a wall mount.
RS232/RS485 Converter Applications
